Dear Member,
As you would be aware, our Club is in it’s 125th Year of glorious existence. Your Committee has planned to celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner and for this we will be holding the inaugural ceremony on Saturday, 21 January 2012 at 6.00 pm. The Honorable Mayor of Kolkata, Sri Sovan Chatterjee has kindly consented to inaugurate the function. To make the evening worth while and enjoyable we will have for you the famed Jaipur based music group “Jaipur Beats” followed by DJ Harish and his brand of music alongwith complimentary drinks and dinner.
We look forward to your presence on the occasion.
The above not withstanding, I was contemplating a commemorative magazine for the occasion which could be kept by the Club and cherished by our Members as a historical record. Presently, we have no such thing to show case, talk of or even reminisce with. I am certain that with your years’ in the Club, you would be able to contribute meaningfully towards the publication of the Magazine. May I request you for your valuable contribution in whatever form – historical facts, anecdotes, photographs, issues which influenced the dynamics of the Club, whatever. The Magazine apart, your suggestions regarding further celebrations in continuity, to mark the occasion, are also welcome. Do give a little of your time and thought to this aspect.
